That weird moment when your shopping trip turns out to be a food trip instead. Hahah. That`s exactly what happened to me in Riga. We went there for shopping, but found ourselves eating and drinking cocktails in every corner... And what about shopping, well I only got some new sport items from Nike Outlet and that`s it. But let`s talk about food then and where we enjoyed ourselves. Didn`t made it to Latvias famous Lido this time, but hey, there are other great places too.
1. City Hotel Teater. As we stayed there for 2 nights, we also thought that it would be a great idea to eat dinner there. A three course dinner cost about 20 euros per person and was so delicious. Also there was this nice lobby bar, which is located nearby reception and looks like a cosy inner countryard with glassed ceilings. A perfect place to have a quick drink.
2. The second lovely place was Grill&Bar which is in Origo shopping centre. They have a really cosy corner there where they offer caucasian cuisine which is cooked on open fire. And the food really is amazing, like for real. One of the best BBQ chicken I have ever eaten.
3. Can`t believe I`m saying this, but my third favourite was a little cafe at the coach station. Yea, coach station, how weird. But the cafe there was so lovely with a great terrace and the view to the city from there was spectacular. Also, they had a really nice cakes and milkshakes there.
